I was born in 1987 in Iran. I received my B.Sc. in Physics from Sharif University of Technology in 2006 (advisor Prof. Hessamaddin Arfaei), M.Sc. in Physics from Sharif University of Technology in 2007 (advisor: Prof. Mohammad-Reza Rahimi Tabar), and my PhD in Physics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2011 (advisor: Prof. Xiao-Gang Wen). I was an assistant professor of Physics at Sharif University of Technology from 2011-2012 before I joined the department of Physics at Cornell University as a postdoctoral fellow (mentor: Prof. Eun-Ah Kim).
